Momotesai ceremony

Momotesai is one of the Shinto ceremonies and is performed at Omote Shrine.
The priests shoot arrows for the first time of the year. The special character () made for this ceremony is written on the mark. The character means "not to contend for the victory", so this ceremony is also for the peace of the world.
